Kinetic launches e-three wheeler Safar

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions, a venture of Kinetic Group, has launched its indigenously designed battery operated e-three wheeler ‘Kinetic Safar’ priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).

The company has also bagged order for providing 27,000 Kinetic Safar vehicles from UP government amounting to Rs 400 crore.

Kinetic Safar comes equipped with an all steel body, dual head-lamps for night vision, and dash board with battery indicator and speedometer. It has maximum speed of 25 km/hr and can carry four passengers plus the driver.

Its gear box system, which has been specifically certified by ARAI, is capable of climbing flyovers, said the Pune based company.

Kinetic Green has tied up with Exide to provide the lead acid battery system for the vehicle.

“The buyer of Safar is expected to recover his investment in 8-9 months and the riders enjoy an affordable ride at Rs 10 per ride. I am confident that Safar will revolutionise last mile transport and create employment for lakhs of unemployed youth or poor”, said Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions.

The electric three wheeler Safar is currently being manufactured at Kinetic Green’s facility at Ahmednagar in Maharashtra with a capacity of 4,000 vehicles per month.

The company is planning to expand its manufacturing facilities in Ahmednagar and also start another assembly unit in North India.
